Core cardiac diagnostic tests
All-inclusive pricing — the test, clinical review, and your written report are all included. VAT does not apply to medical diagnostic services.
Resting ECG 12-lead
A resting 12-lead electrocardiogram records the heart's electrical activity across multiple leads simultaneously. It assesses rhythm, rate, conduction intervals, and ST-segment changes — providing essential information for the detection of arrhythmias, heart block, ischaemic changes, and structural abnormalities.
- Full 12-lead resting ECG recording
- Clinical review by a qualified reporting physiologist
- Written report within 24 working hours
- Suitable for symptoms, occupational health, and sports screening
ABPM 24-hour
Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring records blood pressure readings automatically throughout the day and night while the patient goes about their normal activities. It is considered the gold standard for diagnosing hypertension and is widely accepted for TfL licensing medicals and occupational health assessments.
- 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure recording
- Day and night readings with full statistical analysis
- Written report within 24 working hours
Holter Monitoring 24 hr – 14 days
Holter monitoring provides continuous ambulatory ECG recording over an extended period — from 24 hours to 14 days. It is particularly valuable for detecting intermittent arrhythmias, palpitations, and unexplained syncope that may not be captured on a short resting ECG. The longer the recording, the greater the likelihood of capturing an event.
Echocardiogram cardiac ultrasound
A transthoracic echocardiogram uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of the heart's structure and function. It assesses ventricular function, valve morphology and function, pericardial fluid, and chamber dimensions.
- Full transthoracic echocardiogram by a specialist echo physiologist
- Written report within 24 working hours
- Hospital-grade equipment at every appointment
Stress ECG exercise treadmill
A stress ECG — also known as an exercise tolerance test (ETT) — records the heart's electrical activity during graded physical exertion on a treadmill. It is used to assess cardiac response to stress, investigate chest pain and breathlessness on exertion, and fulfil requirements for occupational and licensing medicals.
- Supervised graded exercise treadmill test (Bruce Protocol)
- Continuous 12-lead ECG monitoring throughout
- Written report within 24 working hours
- Suitable for TfL cardiac package and occupational assessments
